An Embedded system is a combination of computer hardware and software, either fixed in capability or programmable, designed for a specific function or functions within a larger system. Industrial machines, agricultural and process industry devices, automobiles, medical equipment, cameras, household appliances, airplanes, vending machines and toys, as well as mobile devices, are possible locations for an embedded system.

Robotics is an interdisciplinary research area at the interface of computer science and engineering. Robotics involves design, construction, operation, and use of robots. The goal of robotics is to design intelligent machines that can help and assist humans in their day-to-day lives and keep everyone safe.


Starting with Electronics and Arduino

Arduino is an open-source electronics platform based on Easy-to-use hardware and software.

Learn Circuitry (hardware) and Programming (software) together.

Kids can learn circuitry without understanding the complex theories behind electronics to start building their own robot. Explaining components and wiring can be done easily using diagrams and metaphors. They will also learn about common components for simple robots such as batteries, resistors, LEDs, transistors, current (voltage), loops and much more!

Arduino Basic Course-Download and install Arduino IDE software

Programming an Arduino is as easy as it sounds. All we need to do is download the Arduino software, plug it into a computer, and write a few lines of code. The code is what determines the effects of the robot. For example, controlling the frequency of a blinking LED light or how fast a motor spins. Kids will learn how to set-up a robot, control it and compile code themselves.

3. Arduino Basic Course. Blinking diode working as a result of the module

We would like to show you how to control a diode. We would build a device and write programs for this device.

4. Arduino Basic Course. Modify the blinking diode program

In this class we would modify the blinking diode program so that the diode will stay on for four seconds.

5.Arduino Basic Course. LED Fading program

Fade. This example demonstrates the use of the analogWrite() function in fading an LED off and on. analogWrite uses pulse width modulation (PWM), turning a digital pin on and off very quickly with different ratio between on and off, to create a fading effect.

6. Arduino Basic Course. Control LED with button program

The pushbutton is a component that connects two points in a circuit when you press it. The example turns on an LED when you press the button.

10. Arduino Basic Course. Analog Joystick Program

The Analog Joystick is similar to two potentiometers connected together, one for the vertical movement (Y-axis) and other for the horizontal movement (X-axis). The joystick also comes with a Select switch. It can be very handy for retro gaming, robot control or RC cars.

The output of PIR motion detection sensor can be connected directly to one of the Arduino (or any microcontroller) digital pins. ... PIR modules have a passive infrared sensor that detects the occupancy and movement from the infrared radiated from human body.

12. Arduino Basic Course. Sound sensor Program

Sound sensors can be used for a variety of things; one of them could be turning lights off and on by clapping. This module allows you to detect when sound has exceeded a set point you select. Sound is detected via a microphone and fed into an LM393 op amp.

13. Arduino Basic Course. DTH11 sensor Program

The DHT11 measures temperature with a surface mounted NTC temperature sensor (thermistor) built into the unit. The DHT11 uses just one signal wire to transmit data to the Arduino.

14. Arduino Basic Course. Smoke sensor Program

MQ-06 gas sensor is used to detect smoke. The MQ6 gas sensor detects the concentration of gas in ppm and outputs analog value which can be converted to digital measure using inbuilt Analog to Digital Convertor of Arduino
